Annual Mainsail Arts Festival
Vinoy Park, St. Petersburg
Named by Sunshine Artist magazine among the "100 Best" fine arts events in the United States, the Mainsail Arts Festival is a leading leading cultural event on St. Petersburg's outdoor calendar. More than 250 of the nation's top visual artists as well as top name entertainment, childrens' events and a culinary arts food court converge on Vinoy Park.
Taking place each spring along St. Petersburg's downtown waterfront, a picturesque setting for the Annual Mainsail Arts festival. Over 100,000 visitors from near and far come to enjoy and purchase quality art and listen to top name entertainment. Artists exhibiting are competing for $50,000 in prize money, including $10,000 to the Best of Show.
Exhibiting artists from all over the United States present their art for sale or are available for commission in the following categories: Ceramics, Fibers, Glass, Jewelry, Metal, Mixed Media, Oil/Acrylic, Photography, Sculpture, Watercolor and Wood.
With a weekend of fun, the whole family can spend an ideal day in a transformed Vinoy Park, taking in outstanding art, enjoying the varied musical entertainment and indulging in savory vendor treats. There's even an occasion for kids to express their artistic talents at the "Young at Art Student Show" Awards and Kids Create craft tent.
Admission is free. This two-day event combines visual and performing arts along with an outstanding venue. See you on the waterfront.
