These are two of the top private courses in the Tampa area. The course personnel describe the courses as similar, with the North Course rough cut in to make for tighter fairway landing areas. The courses are fairly flat, and the golfer is mainly challenged by water which comes into play on fourteen holes on the North Course, and more than half the holes on the South Course. Last year we completed our $3,000,000.00 dollar renovation to our facility. The project added 12,000 square feet to the clubhouse. The addition includes a newly expanded fitness center, new wine cellar, men's locker room, grand ballroom, grille room, grand lobby, private members conference/meeting room, and a main dining room with an open-air verandah overlooking our finishing hole on the 18th green.
Our Par 72 Joe Lee/Bob Cupp designed course enjoys a great location and reputation. We also have a seven-acre driving range that has a short game practice area. Our golf course renovation is now complete. The project included all new tift eagle greens, new tee boxes, re-sanding of the bunkers, as well as a new irrigation system. From the championship tee we are just shy of 7000 yards. Feather Sound is home to tour players John Huston, Greg Kraft & Walter Hall.
